module 4 the natural elements

unit 1 electricity today

主要内容:

(注:所有单词可参照目录中的vocabu lary及后面的 word list.)

i.常用词组:

on a dark night, give him a fright, use the lightning to get electricity, see pylons carrying wires, electrical appliances, a washing mac hine , a vacuum cleaner, an air conditioner, the importance of electricity, electric kettles, link up…with…, be known (as), make sth + adj.( make traveling comfortable), run through tunnels, run over a bridge, run on the ground, be different from, be made of, as well,

i i.有用句型:

1.what else does it give power for ?

2.televisions make our lives more enjoyable.

3.computers help us work more efficiently.

4.air conditioners make us feel more comfortable.

iii .语言难点:

1.computers are used to give information to the train drivers. 本单元中出现了几处被动语态,尽可能当作固定词组来记忆,如 be used to do sth, 也可与used to do 及be used to doing 作比较。

2.electric 与electrical 较易混淆,可通过记些固定搭配让学生掌握。

iv. 拓展词汇:

fright…frighten…frightening…frightened…electricity…electrical…electric…

v. 教学建议:

1.掌握tommy target所列内容。

2.教育学生正确使用电器 及注意安全用电。

3.可以结合后面的project 一起学习,尽可能多采用直观的方法。

unit 2  the wind is blowing

主要内容:

(注:所有单词可参照目录中的vocabulary及后面的 word  list.)

i.常用词组:

learn a lesson from…, look disappointed, be friendly to…, as st rong as…, much stronger, play tricks on others, show off, take off, start sweating, have a competition, blo w off, become warmer and warmer, make me feel comfortable, make a frame, finish making a kite, not as big as…, electric shock,

ii.有用句型:

1. i’m much stronger than him.

2. it’s  ( not ) as long as yours.

3. hers is the most beautiful.

iii .语言 难点:

1.名词性物主代词的使用与形容词性物主代词作比较。

2.注意同级比较中原级的使用。

iv.拓展词汇:

patient…impatient…colour…colourful…beauty…beautiful…strong…strength…

v. 教学建议:

1.掌握tommy target所列内容。

2.教育学生要从风和太阳的竞赛中得出启示。

3.要求学生准备材料自己动手制作风筝,有条件的还可放风筝,当然要求他们操练巩固所学到的语言。

unit 3 water festival

主要内容:

i.常用词组:

get on well with…, prepare for,  look forward to sth/ doing sth., either…or…, not only…but also…, turn into, ask people to do the quiz, be allowed, be suitable for…, construction sites,

ii.有用句型:

iii .语言难点:

1.wh-questions 与when 引导的状语从句容易混淆。

2.注意介词的使用( e.g. in, at, near )。

iv. 教学建议:

1.掌握tommy target所列内容。

2.教育学生节约水资源,不要浪费污染水资源。

3.可以借鉴书本,以节约水资源为主题,让学生也设计一个water festival。

unit 4 a visit to the space museum

主要内容:

(注 :所有单词可参照目录中的vocabulary及后面的 word list.)

i.常用词组:

watch a slide show, the space museum, the solar system, take  care of sick people, do some experiments, plan a journey, one…the other…, prefer…to…,

ii. 有用句型:

1. which is the large st  .planet in our solar system ?

2. i need someone who can do some important experiments.

iii .语言难点:

1. what’s his/ her nationality ? 国籍与国名学生容易混淆。

2. i need someone who…此句包含一个定语从句,注意让学生理解含义。

iv. 拓展词汇:

britain…british…american…america…, large…larger…largest…,

v.教学建议:

1.掌握tommy target所列内容。

2.此乃科普性知识,比较枯燥,尽可能借助多媒体等手段以便让学生产生兴趣。

3.可借助实物、通过比赛等方法教授最高级。
